In the midst of 4000 sqm of private land in the fertile green valley between Siena, Florence and Arezzo this Chianti farmhouse of 480 sqm is ideal for families or a group of friends, wishing to have an independent and sophisticated villa with pool in an untouched Tuscan countryside surrounding.

The villa is impeccably furnished with great care to details. Many pieces are antique and the finishings are luxurious. Decorative elements such as archways, fireplaces, panoramic glass doors enrichen the cosy and enchanting atmosphere and the romantic outdoor portico with table and chairs is the perfect shadow place for meals at any time.

The kitchen is exquisitely fitted, the bathrooms are nice and new and a complete equipment of garden furniture as well as a barbecue are at guests' disposal. A cooking maid is available upon request and subject to charges.

Although the Villa has several doors that open onto the gardens, main entrance is from the front through a beautiful arched doorway with wrought iron and glass panelling.

Up one step through the door is an entrance hall with two doors facing the entrance and a door on the left. The door on the left opens into a service WC with washbasin. The left door facing the entrance opens into the vast living room with an archway that separates it from a cozier sitting room with fireplace. There are several panoramic glass doors in the living room that open onto a portico that is furnished with table and chairs and is the ideal place to enjoy one’s meals in the slumbering heat of summer.The portico also is fully equipped with garden furniture.

From the sitting room, an open passageway leads into the formal dining room with open staircase that leads to the first floor. The formal dining room is separated from the informal dining area next to the kitchen by a wrought iron and glass partition with door providing access to both. The informal dining room has a large table with marble top and it is separated from the kitchen by an open archway. The kitchen is exquisitely fitted and offers a gas range, gas oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer and open hearth fireplace for grilling and roasting.

From the formal dining room, up 5 steps on the staircase is a landing with door to a utilities room with washingmachine, washbasin and door to the rear garden. The maid has exclusive access to this room. She comes three times weekly for four hours each time and costs Euros 200 per week to be paid directly on arrival. Extra hours can be arranged with her. Continuing up the stairs from the first landing is a delightful sitting room with arched panoramic windows and wrought iron door to the front of the house (this door is kept locked). From this sitting room through an open passageway is the third sitting with fireplace and doors to the sleeping section of the Villa.

There are three sections. To the left is the door to a double bedroom with ensuite complete bathroom with shower stall. To the right of the fireplace is a door to a corridor. Doors in the corridor lead into a spacious twin bedded room with an archway that interrupts the room and creates a study. At the end of the corridor is the door to a large complete bathroom with two washbasins and bathtub. A last door in the corridor opens into a second spacious double bedroom.

To the right of the sitting room with fireplace, a final door opens onto a short corridor with three doors that lead to a double bedroom, to a twin bedded room and to a complete bathroom with shower stall. The Villa is impeccably furnished with great care to details.

Many pieces are antique and the furnishings are luxurious. There is a baby cot, brick barbecue, satellite TV with VHS and stereo with CD player. There is a house phone wich only accepts incoming calls and can be used for making local calls, and there is a cell phone provided by the owners for guest use. Guests pay for the usage of the phone cards that go whit the phone.

The Villa also has ADSL internet connection.

The Villa sits near Bucine which is just southwest of Montevarchi, between Arezzo and Siena.

The official vineyards of Chianti begin here and extend to the east, giving visitors ample opportunity to explore the small roads and hill towns of Tuscany.

Bucine is small but complete, with a wednesday morning market and an excellent simple restaurant.

The thermal Spa of Rapolano is a 15 minutes drive, the mediaval hamlet of Cennina, which hosts summer concerts starting from June, is at 2 kms.

You are in an easy 20 minute drive to the A1 autostrada and Florence is 45 minutes by car.

Alternatively, you can take the small roads and wind up and down the charming hill towns of Chianti; Castellina, Greve, Panzano, Radda. Siena is within 30 minutes drive.

The location offers plenty to explore.

Montevarchi is the neares big town; the history of Montevarchi dates back to circa 986, when pilgrims and travelers stopped here on their way to and from Rome.

Montevarchi: for centuries the “market town” for Valdarno, Chianti and Pratomagno – and one of the most important in Tuscany.

A meeting place for traders, townsfolk, the local livestock and grain “dealers” and above all for farmers and small local producers who, until the 1960s used all means possible to get to the town squares of Montevarchi, to make deals and sell their goods: free range chickens, vegetables, rabbits, artichokes, olive oils and chestnuts.

Today the area is famous for its contribution to the international fashion industry and boasts the location of prestigious fashion outlets like Prada and "The Mall".

The area has excellent restaurants, a farmer’s market and regular train service to Florence, Arezzo, Rome
