Villa il Tribbio
In the beautiful countryside of the Val d’Orcia, near the small village of San Giovanni d’Asso, there is “Il Tribbio”, an ancient farmhouse made of stone which was completely refurbished in 2005.
This large house is composed of two apartments, each one with a private entrance: the houses are connected by two doors, one in the upper and the second one in the ground floor that can be closed to separate them.
This is therefore the best solution for two groups travelling together (families, friends).
Each apartment has its own kitchen and living room, so that it is easy to divide the groups but also to link them.
One house can accommodate 4 people, the other 6+2.
The entire farmhouse can be rented to 10+2 people or partially to 4 people
(one apartment) and 6+2 people (the other).
If only one apartment is rented, the other part will be closed and not rented to anyone else to ensure privacy to the guests.
Accommodation:
HOUSE 1 (120 sqm):
Ground floor : a living room with fireplace, kitchen, dining area and a small terrace; an ancient staircase made of travertine leads you to the upper floor.
First Floor : a small terrace with panoramic view, one double bedroom,
one twin-bedded room and two bathrooms with showers.
HOUSE 2 (200 sqm):
Ground floor: a large living room with a sofa bed for two people, kitchen, dining area, a small toilet; the staircase leads to the first floor.
First floor: a large living room with a fireplace and two sofas, two double bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom(shower), one twin-bedded room and another complete bathroom.
Both kitchens are fully equipped; every bedroom and the living room of the first floor, both house have ceiling fans in the rooms.
The Loggia:
In front of the private pool(12 x 5 m) there is a pool house where you can enjoy outdoor meals thanks to a large table with two benches seating 12 people.
In the pool house you can find a small bathroom with shower, an extra room with sofa bed and a very small kitchen with fridge.
The Garden:
In front of the house there is a large, beautiful green space with olive and pomegranate trees, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the rolling Sienese hills.
Location:
The farmhouse is located in a very peaceful countryside, but it is only 5 minutes walk (1 km) from the romantic village of San Giovanni d’Asso, where you can find restaurants, a breakfast bar, a pharmacy, a post office, a supermarket and other shops.
There are public tennis courts in Torrenieri (8 km), the famous Monte Oliveto Abbey is just 7 km away, you can find a spa 14 km away in San Quirico d’Orcia, wine tasting areas in Montalcino (17 km) or near Siena; the beautiful village of Pienza lies 20 km away, Siena is 40 km away; you need 2 hours to go to Florence and 2,5 hours to reach Rome.

From Rome:
take the A1 motorway, direction to Florence; leave it at the exit Valdichiana, go on to Sinalunga –Trequanda – Montisi - San Giovanni d'Asso.
When in the village follow the main street, direction Asciano, until the cemetery; ext to this there is a short dirt road (300 mt ), at the end IL TRIBBIO.
From Florence - Pisa:
take the A1 motorway, direction to Rome, exit at Valdichiana, go on to Sinalunga- Trequanda – Montisi - San Giovanni d'Asso.
When in the village, follow the main street, direction to Asciano, until the cemetery.
Here you find a short dirt road (300 mt )and at the end of this IL TRIBBIO.
From Florence- Pisa:
take the highway Florence-Siena, at Siena follow the Cassia road to Monteroni d'Arbia –Buonconvento - Torrenieri and then San Giovanni d'Asso.
When in the village, drive along the main street, direction to Asciano, you reach the cemetery, next to this you find a short dirt road and then IL TRIBBIO.
